Colors at the schools of Patras

The Carnival Patras of Children organized by the Culture and the Mayoralty DEPAP, painting of colors schools in an effort to change the image side of city schools. To leave the drab gray color and have cheerful facades, and interiors with artistic inspiration and mood.

So the Carnival of the Child this year has on the environment, implement the "Murals in schools of our city" as part of workshops for children.

The program has signed up 9 high schools and 13 primary schools of Patras. This year activities are in all primary in progress and three high schools, and the time the same program will be activated and the other high schools. At the same time conducted workshops - seminars in which students at the end and they will paint their own creations on the walls of their schools. These drills seminars make two groups: the Carpe Diem High School in the 2nd and the 17th Urban colors School of Eglykados and 13th Street that is Australia.

Χρώμα στα σχολεία

Το Καρναβάλι των Παιδιών που διοργανώνει η Αντιδημαρχία Πολιτισμού και η ΔΕΠΑΠ, χρωματίζει με χαρούμενα χρώματα τα σχολεία της Πάτρας σε μια προσπάθεια να αλλάξει όψη η εικόνα των σχολείων της πόλης. Να βγουν από το γκρίζο μονότονο χρώμα και να αποκτήσουν χαρούμενες προσόψεις, αλλά και εσωτερικούς χώρους, με έμπνευση και καλλιτεχνική διάθεση.

Έτσι το Καρναβάλι των Παιδιών που φέτος έχει θέμα το περιβάλλον, υλοποιεί το πρόγραμμα «Τοιχογραφίες στα σχολεία της πόλης μας» στο πλαίσιο των εργαστηρίων των παιδιών.


Στο πρόγραμμα έχουν δηλώσει συμμετοχή 9 γυμνάσια και 13 δημοτικά σχολεία της Πάτρας. Για φέτος δράσεις γίνονται σε όλα τα δημοτικά που βρίσκονται σε εξέλιξη και σε τρία γυμνάσια, ενώ του χρόνου το ίδιο πρόγραμμα θα ενεργοποιηθεί και στα υπόλοιπα γυμνάσια. Παράλληλα πραγματοποιούνται εργαστήρια – σεμινάρια σε μαθητές που στο τέλος θα ζωγραφίσουν και αυτοί τις δικές τους δημιουργίες στους τοίχους των σχολείων τους. Στα γυμνάσια τα σεμινάρια κάνουν δυο ομάδες: οι Carpe Diem στο 2ο Γυμνάσιο και οι Urban Kolours στο 17ο Γυμνάσιο της Εγλυκάδος και στο 13ο που βρίσκεται στην οδό Αυστραλίας.

In Patra the annual meeting of Harley Davindson

Another major event on the motorsport will be held next May in Patras Greece. The super-rally, that the expression of the friends of Harley-Davidson will be hosted in the Greek city in a period of 20 with May 24, 2010.

Η ετήσια συνάντηση της Harley Davindson στην Πάτρα

Μια ακόμα σημαντική εκδηλώση που αφορά τον μηχανοκίνητο αθλητισμό αναμένεται να πραγματοποιηθεί τον προσεχή Μάϊο στην Πάτρα. Ο λόγος για το σούπερ-ράλι, δηλαδή την εκδήλωση των φίλων της Χάρλεϊ-Ντάβιντσον που θα φιλοξενηθεί στην πόλης μας στο χρονικό διάστημα 20 με 24 Μαΐου του 2010.

Πάνω από 10.000 μοτοσικλετιστές από όλη την Ευρώπη θα έχουν την ετήσια συνάντησή τους, η οποία φέτος φιλοξενήθηκε στην Φινλανδία. Το Σούπερ Ράλι αναμένεται να προκαλέσει στην πόλη έναν τζίρο της τάξεως των 10 εκατομμυρίων ευρώ και μαζί, βεβαίως, πρόκειται για μια συνάντηση που θα ενισχύσει τη διεθνή φήμη και το κύρος της πόλης.

«Path of Sacrifice» in Kalavrita

With great organizational and racing success held in Kalavrita the 2nd race of the institution Rounds of cities which it calls as “Way of Sacrifice" in Kalavrita. The winners at men were Kostas Toussas and at women to Denise Dimaki.

Another sporting event which attended by 200 athletes from Greece and took place in Kalavryta, successfully, while renewing our appointment for the new year.

«Δρόμος Θυσίας» στα Καλάβρυτα

Με μεγάλη οργανωτική και αγωνιστική επιτυχία διεξήχθη στα Καλάβρυτα ο 2ος αγώνας του θεσμού Γύροι Πόλεων ο «Δρόμο Θυσίας Καλαβρύτων» με νικητές στους άνδρες τον Κώστα Τουσσέ και στις γυναίκες την Ντενίζ Δημάκη.

Μία ακόμα αθλητική εκδήλωση στην οποία συμμετείχαν 200 αθλητές και αθλήτριες, από όλη την Ελλάδα και έλαβε χώρα στα Καλάβρυτα, με απόλυτη επιτυχία, ανανεώνοντας παράλληλα το ραντεβού της, για τη νέα χρονιά.

Christmas ... the positive spirit of Christmas come through and gets to the peak!
Days full of love and warmth, festive days, with illuminated cities and Christmas notes come round to hear, that make you recalling past and future beautiful moments.

So every year Greece "wear" the festive “costume” with Athens, Thessaloniki and Patras, actually converted into fairy cities.

Indeed this year's Athens sending its own eco-message, thus its Christmas tree it is made of from 250 trees, that after the festivities will be moved to be planted in one of the fire ravaged areas of Attica.

Beyond Patras the decor is bright lights for several weeks, which won numerous flattering comments, but in terms of Thessaloniki for yet another year has "stolen" his impressions.


Χριστούγεννα...το θετικό πνεύμα των εορτών στα ύψη! Μέρες αγάπης και ζεστασιάς, μέρες γιορτινές, οι πόλεις φωτισμένες και τριγύρω ακούς χριστουγεννιάτικες νότες, που σε κάνουν να αναπολείς παλαιότερες αλλά και μελλοντικές όμορφες στιγμές.

Έτσι λοιπόν κάθε χρόνο είθιστε και η Ελλάδα να «φοράει» τα γιορτινά της με την Αθήνα, τη Θεσσαλονίκη και την Πάτρα, πραγματικά να μετατρέπονται σε παραμυθένιες πόλεις.

Μάλιστα φέτος η Αθήνα πρωτοτυπεί καθώς το Χριστουγεννιάτικο δέντρο, που στόλισε η πόλη των Αθηνών στέλνει το δικό του οικολογικό μήνυμα, αφού είναι φτιαγμένο από περίπου 250 φυσικά έλατα, που μετά τις γιορτές θα μεταφερθούν για να φυτευθούν σε μια από τις πυρόπληκτες περιοχές της Αττικής.

Από εκεί και πέρα στην Πάτρα ο φωτεινός διάκοσμος έχει ανάψει εδώ και μερικές εβδομάδες, ο οποίος απέσπασε πάμπολλα κολακευτικά σχόλια, ενώ σε ότι αφορά τη Θεσσαλονίκη για ακόμη μια χρονιά έχει «κλέψει» τις εντυπώσεις.

Ανοίγουν τα χιονοδρομικά κέντρα στην Ελλάδα

Για τα καλά Χειμώνας φαίνεται ότι ήρθε στην Ελλάδα, καθώς οι κορυφές των βουνών...απρίσαν.

Ευλογία και ιδανική εποχή, για τους λάτρεις των χειμερινών σπορ, καθώς από σήμερα κιόλας, άνοιξαν και ανοίγουν σιγά σιγά τα χιονοδρονικά κέντρα της χώρας, τα οποία είναι σε θέση να υποδεχτούν όλους τους επισκέπτες.

Χαρακτηριστικό είναι ότι από σήμερα ανοίγει το Πισοδέρι και το Καϊμακτσαλάν. Μέχρι τώρα είναι γνωστό ότι το Σάββατο ανοίγουν για χιονοδρομία τα Χιονοδρομικά κέντρα Παρνασσού, Περτουλίου, Χρυσού Ελαφιού και Ελατοχωρίου!

Τα 20 εκ. φρέσκο χιόνι στη βάση του χιονοδρομικού κέντρου Καλαβρύτων, ενώ να σημειώσουμε ότι στη Φτερόλακα έριχνε πολύ χιόνι καθόλη τη διάρκεια της νύχτας!

"17th Christmas Cup” in swimming, in Patras

A large swimming event that is annually held in Patras with lots of participant is the 'Christmas Cup, organized by the team NEP.

A total of 740 swimmers will join the big celebration, from 39 clubs from all over Greece.

Indeed, the "17th Christmas Cup 2009" is expected to begin today at the National Swimming of Patras “A. Pepanos” and will last until Sunday, while the official opening ceremony will take place tomorrow.

«17ο Κύπελλο Χριστουγέννων» στην κολύμβηση, στην Πάτρα

Ένα μεγάλο κολυμβητικό γεγονός κάθε χρόνο πραγματοποιείται στην Πάτρα και δεν είναι άλλο από το «Κύπελλο Χριστουγέννων», που διοργανώνει η ΝΕΠ.

Συνολικά 740 κολυμβητές και κολυμβήτριες θα λάβουν μέρος στη μεγάλη γιορτή, από 39 σωματεία, από όλη την Ελλάδα.

Μάλιστα το «17ο Κύπελλο Χριστουγέννων 2009» αναμένεται να ξεκινήσει σήμερα στο Εθνικό Κολυμβητήριο Πατρών « Α. Πεπανός» και θα διαρκέσει μέχρι και την Κυριακή, ενώ η επίσημη τελετή έναρξης, θα πραγματοποιηθεί αύριο.

First prize in Achaia in the International Exhibition «Polis 2009»

The stand of the Local Union of Municipalities and Communities (TEDK) Prefecture of Achaia, won the 1st prize for the best creation, the International Exhibition «Polis 2009» held in the Exhibition Center of Thessaloniki HELEXPO.

The participation of the LUMC Achaia prefecture awarded for integrated functional, aesthetic and impeccable organization of the stand.

The Gregory Alexopoulos welcomed the award of the stand of Maharashtra and noted that the County raised substantially with the participation of the International Exhibition "Polis".


Το περίπτερο της Τοπικής Ενωσης Δήμων και Κοινοτήτων (Τ.Ε.Δ.Κ.) Νομού Αχαϊας, απέσπασε το 1ο βραβείο καλύτερης δημιουργίας, στη Διεθνή Έκθεση «Polis 2009» που διοργανώθηκε στο εκθεσιακό κέντρο HELEXPO της Θεσσαλονίκης.

Η συμμετοχή της ΤΕΔΚ Νομού Αχαΐας βραβεύτηκε για την ολοκληρωμένη λειτουργική, αισθητική και άψογη οργάνωση του περιπτέρου της.

Ο Γρηγόρης Αλεξόπουλος εξέφρασε την ικανοποίησή του για την βράβευση του περιπτέρου της Αχαΐας και τόνισε ότι ο Νομός προβάλλεται ουσιαστικά με την συμμετοχή του στη Διεθνή Έκθεση “Polis”.

Samaras the leader of New Democracy

Prime Minister George Papandreou (r) greets the new leader of New Democracy, Antonis Samaras, at the latter’s office. The two men, aged 57 and 58 respectively, studied together at Amherst College in Massachusetts in the early 1970s.

Antonis Samaras took over yesterday as the leader of New Democracy from Costas Karamanlis after scoring a clear victory in Sunday’s election, which is seen as a clear mandate for the former finance, foreign and culture minister to begin reshaping the conservative party.

With almost all of the votes counted by last night, Samaras had taken 50.31 percent of the vote, compared to 39.34 for his main rival Dora Bakoyannis and 10.34 for Thessaloniki Prefect Panayiotis Psomiadis.

Samaras’s victory was made even more significant by the unexpectedly high turnout. Almost 750,000 ND members cast their ballots on Sunday, despite a series of technical problems.


Το νέο πρόεδρο της Νέας Δημοκρατίας Αντώνη Σαμαρά, επισκέφτηκε χθες στο γραφείο του ο πρωθυπουργός της Ελλάδας Γιώργος Παπανδρέου, προκειμένου να τον συγχαρεί για την εκλογή του. Οι δύο άντρες ηλικίας 57 και 58 ετών αντίστοιχα, σπούδασαν μαζί στο Amherst College της Μασαχουσέτης τη δεκαετία του 1970.

Ο Αντώνης Σαμαράς πήρε χθες την ηγεσία της Νέας Δημοκρατίας από τον Κωνσταντίνο Καραμανλή, έπειτα από μια καθαρή νίκη, στις εκλογές που πραγματοποιήθηκαν για την ανάδειξη του νέου προέδρου του κόμματος.

Με ποσοστό 50,31 τοις εκατό, σε αντίθεση με την Ντόρα Μπακογιάννη που απέσπασε το 39,34 τοις εκατό και τον Παναγιώτη Ψωμιάδη που συγκέντρωσε το 10,34 τοις εκατό.

Η προσέλευση επιτρέπεται έως τις 2.30 μ.μ. Κλειστά θα παραμείνουν την 25η και 26η Δεκεμβρίου, την 1η Ιανουαρίου και την 25η Μαρτίου. Τις ημέρες των Θεοφανίων και της Καθαράς Δευτέρας, θα λειτουργήσουν όλα.
