Gastronomy in the book of Greek tourism

The Greek kitchen can become an "ambrosia and nectar" for Greek tourism. The Association of Greek Tourist Enterprises (SETE), presented the study “Gastronomy in Marketing of Greek tourism”, according to which: Just invest EUR 400,000 in marketing actions, to make the cuisine-in the next 5 years-one of the main reasons for choosing Greece as a holiday destination.
Gastronomy enhances the travel experience for everyone tourists and an important attraction for special interest tourists.
The "gastronomic patriotism" rewarded financially after the good local cuisine restaurants are free profile, thus providing additional customers, longer season, and ultimately profits.
But most importantly- according to the study- is that the development of gastronomy as a tourism product requires investment in facilities and fixed assets, needs a Product Manager and invest in marketing and promotional tool for the base should be the Internet.
Besides, the study proposes specific actions for the hoteliers, restaurateurs, producers and traders of food and beverages to enhance the culinary offer of the country.

Στο χαρτοφυλάκιο του ελληνικού τουρισμού η γαστρονομία
Η ελληνική κουζίνα μπορεί να εξελιχθεί σε «αμβροσία και νέκταρ» για τον ελληνικό τουρισμό. Ο Σύνδεσμος Ελληνικών Τουριστικών Επιχειρήσεων (ΣΕΤΕ) παρουσίασε τη μελέτη «H Γαστρονομία στο Μάρκετινγκ του Ελληνικού Τουρισμού», σύμφωνα με την οποία: Αρκεί επένδυση 400.000 ευρώ σε ενέργειες μάρκετινγκ, για να καταστεί η γαστρονομία -μέσα στα επόμενα 5 χρόνια-, ένας από τους κύριους λόγους επιλογής της Ελλάδας ως προορισμού διακοπών.
Η γαστρονομία αναβαθμίζει την ταξιδιωτική εμπειρία για όλους ανεξαιρέτως τους τουρίστες, ενώ αποτελεί σημαντικό πόλο έλξης για ειδικού ενδιαφέροντος τουρίστες.
Ο «γαστρονομικός πατριωτισμός» επιβραβεύεται οικονομικά αφού τα καλά εστιατόρια τοπικής κουζίνας τυγχάνουν δωρεάν προβολής, εξασφαλίζοντας έτσι πρόσθετη πελατεία, μεγαλύτερης διάρκειας σεζόν και, τελικά, κέρδη.
Το σημαντικότερο όμως είναι -σύμφωνα με τη μελέτη-, ότι η ανάπτυξη της γαστρονομίας ως τουριστικού προϊόντος δεν απαιτεί επενδύσεις σε εγκαταστάσεις και πάγια, χρειάζεται έναν Product Manager και επενδύσεις σε ενέργειες μάρκετινγκ, ενώ το βασικό εργαλείο προβολής πρέπει να είναι το διαδίκτυο.
Παράλληλα η μελέτη προτείνει συγκεκριμένες δράσεις προς ξενοδόχους, εστιάτορες, παραγωγούς και εμπόρους τροφίμων και ποτών με σκοπό την αναβάθμιση της γαστρονομικής προσφοράς της χώρας.

Ο αγώνας πραγματοποιήθηκε στο Παμπελοποννησιακό Στάδιο Πατρών και μάλιστα πολλοί ήταν αυτοί που έσπευσαν προκειμένου να δουν από κοντά το συγκεκριμένο άθλημα που αρχίζει να γίνεται περισσότερο αναγνωρίσιμο στη χώρα μας.
Η Εθνικήν Ελλάδος κατάφερε να επιβληθεί με 31-10 (22-10 ημίχρονο) της Φιλανδίας, στον πρώτο αγώνα για το Κύπελλο Εθνών της FIRA, προκριματικά παγκοσμίου πρωταθλήματος της Νέας Ζηλανδίας το 2011.
Τέλος αξίζει να αναφέρουμε ότι προπονητής της Εθνικής Ελλάδος, είναι ο Οlivier Magne.

The company, which is supported by the Welsh government has launched a series of environmentally friendly homes and four tonnes of portable buildings.
Economy Minister Yin Ieouan Jones said the "new sustainable process" had exciting possibilities for the construction and "green jobs."

Ο υπουργός Οικονομίας Ιεουαν Γιν Τζόουνς δήλωσε ότι η «νέα βιώσιμη διαδικασία» είχε συναρπαστικές δυνατότητες για την κατασκευή και για «πράσινες θέσεις εργασίας».
Η εταιρεία ισχυρίστηκε ότι τα φιλικά προς το περιβάλλον σπίτια, θα μπορούσε να φέρει επανάσταση στην οικοδομική βιομηχανία.
Η εταιρεία επίσης κατασκευάζει ενότητες φορητών κτιρίων που αποτελούνται από τέσσερις τόνους ανακυκλωμένων απορριμμάτων.
Η Affresol ανέπτυξε ένα νέο υλικό που ονομάζεται Thermo Poly Rock από τα ανακυκλωμένα πλαστικά και τα μέταλλα που χρησιμοποιούνται ως δομικό προϊόν.
Η εταιρεία ισχυρίζεται ότι η πατέντα χαμηλής ενέργειας διαδικασίας ψύξης, μετατρέπει τα πλαστικά σε ένα πολύ ισχυρό οικοδομικό υλικό.

The oldest house in Europe, is in Greece

Geophysical surveys on the hill head to Knossos revealed findings from the oldest farmhouse in Greece and perhaps in Europe, dating between 7000 and 6400 BC The important discovery was presented by the Director of the British School at Athens university professor and Ms. Catherine Morgan's annual open meeting of the School building of the Archaeological Society.
The discovery was made using high-tech radar and in cooperation with Dutch scientists in investigations conducted by May 2009 for mapping and visualization of archaeological and geological sediments in the area of Knossos.

Στην Ελλάδα η αρχαιότερη κατοικία της Ευρώπης
Γεωφυσικές έρευνες στο λόφο της Κεφαλάς στην Κνωσό αποκάλυψαν ευρήματα από την αρχαιότερη αγροτική κατοικία στην Ελλάδα και ίσως στην Ευρώπη, η οποία χρονολογείται μεταξύ 7000 και 6400 π.Χ. Τη σημαντική αυτή ανακάλυψη παρουσίασε η διευθύντρια της Βρετανικής Σχολής στην Αθήνα και καθηγήτρια πανεπιστημίου κα Κάθριν Μόργκαν στην ετήσια ανοιχτή συνάντηση της Σχολής στο κτίριο της Αρχαιολογικής Εταιρείας.
Η ανακάλυψη έγινε με τη χρήση υψηλής τεχνολογίας ραντάρ και σε συνεργασία με Ολλανδούς επιστήμονες σε έρευνες που διεξάγονταν από τον Μάιο του 2009 για την χαρτογράφηση και οπτικοποίηση αρχαιολογικών και γεωλογικών ιζημάτων στην περιοχή της Κνωσού.

Agreement merged between Olympic Air and Aegean Airlines

A contrary view to the general global trend experienced in 2009 investment in the Greek property market, according to a report by RICS (Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors).

Investment activity around buildings strengthened to 70% of countries worldwide in the fourth quarter of 2009, following the trend that had emerged at the beginning of the second half of the year.

Countries that were waged by China and Brazil, where 58% and 61% of respondents showing an increase of sales and purchases real estate income, such as office buildings and shops, to the corresponding rates of 29% and 47% last year. As the report of the RICS, the lowest interest rates and higher returns on real estate have led more and more investors back into the market. At the same time encouraging sign is the growth in demand from tenants in a number of areas around the world. This shows, inter alia, in most developing countries, that much of Latin America, Europe and Asia.

The fact is that in most Western European markets, the investment interest was significantly improved in the last quarter of the year, which resulted from the increased number of bids received per property. In this regard, the largest recovery made purchases in the Netherlands and Italy, while in Italy, Switzerland and Cyprus, the trend remained downward. Deterioration continued to record as Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary and Turkey.

Οι χώρες που πρωταγωνίστησαν ήταν η Κίνα και η Βραζιλία, όπου το 58% και το 61% των ερωτηθέντων έκαναν λόγο για αύξηση των αγοραπωλησιών ακινήτων εισοδήματος, όπως κτιρίων γραφείων και εμπορικών καταστημάτων, έναντι αντίστοιχων ποσοστών 29% και 47% το προηγούμενο έτος. Οπως τονίζει η έκθεση του RICS, τα χαμηλότερα επιτόκια και οι σχετικά υψηλότερες αποδόσεις των ακινήτων ώθησαν όλο και περισσότερους επενδυτές πίσω στην αγορά. Ταυτόχρονα, ενθαρρυντικό στοιχείο είναι και η ενίσχυση της ζήτησης από ενοικιαστές σε μια σειρά από περιοχές ανά τον κόσμο. Κάτι τέτοιο διαπιστώνεται, μεταξύ άλλων, στην πλειονότητα των αναπτυσσόμενων χωρών, δηλαδή μεγάλο μέρος της Λατινικής Αμερικής, της Ευρώπης και της Ασίας.

Γεγονός είναι πως στις περισσότερες αγορές της Δυτικής Ευρώπης, το επενδυτικό ενδιαφέρον ήταν αισθητά βελτιωμένο κατά το τελευταίο τρίμηνο του έτους, κάτι που προέκυψε και από τον αυξημένο αριθμό των προσφορών που δόθηκαν ανά ακίνητο. Από αυτήν την άποψη, τη μεγαλύτερη ανάκαμψη σημείωσαν οι αγορές της Ολλανδίας και της Ιταλίας, ενώ σε Ιταλία, Ελβετία και Κύπρο η τάση παρέμεινε πτωτική. Επιδείνωση συνέχισαν να καταγράφουν η Βουλγαρία, η Ρουμανία, η Ουγγαρία και η Τουρκία.

The Carnival season is in full swing throughout Greece, with revelries lasting to February 14, the eve of the Clean Monday holiday that marks the beginning of the 40-day Great Lent leading to Orthodox Easter. On Sunday the 14th the Carnival culminates with the grand parade of floats, culminating in the traditional burning of King Carnival which is accompanied by fireworks displays.

Σε πλήρη εξέλιξη βρίσκονται οι εκδηλώσεις για τον εορτασμό της Αποκριάς στην Ελλάδα, αναφέρει η κινεζική εφημερίδα Global Times δημοσιεύοντας σχετική ενημέρωση που προωθήθηκε στον κινεζικό Τύπο από το Γραφείο Τύπου της Ελληνικής Πρεσβείας στο Πεκίνο.

Σύμφωνα με το δημοσίευμα, οι εορταστικές εκδηλώσεις δημιουργούν γιορτινή ατμόσφαιρα σε πόλεις και χωριά και προβάλουν τα τοπικά έθιμα και παραδόσεις.

Η Global Times κάνοντας ιδιαίτερη μνεία στην Πάτρα, η οποία διαθέτει το πλέον μακρόχρονο καρναβάλι στην Ελλάδα, εντυπωσιάζει και φέτος με το εορταστικό της πρόγραμμα και τη γιορτινή διάθεση, που πρόκειται να κορυφωθεί με τη μεγαλειώδη παρέλαση των αρμάτων την Κυριακή.

Ήδη η πόλη είχε την ευκαιρία να πάρει μια πρόγευση της κυριακάτικης παρέλασης με την Παρέλαση των Παιδιών, που πραγματοποιήθηκε τη Δευτέρα και χαρακτηρίστηκε από χρώματα, παιδικά χαμόγελα, ξέφρενο κέφι, χορό και τραγούδια. Για μία ακόμη φορά τα άρματα του Καρναβαλιού των Παιδιών έκλεψαν τις εντυπώσεις, όπως τα Τύμπανα Ανακύκλωσης, το Εργοστάσιο καπνού, η Μπανιέρα, τα Παγόβουνα και το Αεροποδήλατο του επιστήμονα. The schedule of events, the remaining one week is quite rich and this year is expected to attract lots of viewers, who will hasten to a close enjoy the beautiful spectacle, which will offer people who participated in the two parades and the impressive floats.

Στην τελική ευθεία το Πατρινό Καρναβάλι

Του Αγ. Βαλεντίνου, την ημέρα των Ερωτευμένων στις 14 Φεβρουαρίου, αναμένεται να κορυφωθεί η μεγαλύτερη γιορτή στην Ελλάδα, την περίοδο του Χειμώνα, που δεν είναι άλλο από το Πατρινό Καρναβάλι.

Το πρόγραμμα των εκδηλώσεων, στη εναπομείναντα μία εβδομάδα, είναι αρκετά πλούσιο και αναμένεται και φέτος, να προσελκύσει πλυθώρα θεατών, οι οποίοι θα σπεύσουν να απολαύσουν από κοντά το όμορφο θέαμα, που θα τους προσφέρουν οι καρναβαλιστές αλλά και τα εντυπωσιακά άρματα.

Εδώ και μέρες η Αχαϊκή πρωτεύουσα, έχει «φορέσει» τον Καρναβαλικό διάκοσμό της, με τη φαντασία των Πατρινών για μια ακόμα φορά, να ξαφνιάζει και να «κλέβει» την παράσταση.

Μέσα στη μία εβδομάδα, που απομένει λοιπόν, ο Δήμος Πατρέων έχει ετοιμάσει αρκετές εκδηλώσεις, οι οποίες έχουν ως εξής:

Black dominoes in Patras Carnival

For another year the black dominoes with unchanged time freshness, invite unsuspecting escort in thrilling encounters mysterious, fun, adventure and carnival mood. This year the traditional dances of Bourboulia, made in connection with events of Carnival 2010, organized by the Culture and the Mayoralty DEPAP, changing room, the first will be held at the Old Arsakeion. The dances of Bourboulia will begin at 21.00 and ending one hour after midnight.

The Bourboulia considered one of the oldest events of Carnival and started according to scholars of the history of Carnival shortly after the completion of construction of the Municipal Theater "Apollo" by Ernest Ziller, at around 1872.
The peculiarity of this dance, whose name means nothing more than boiling meat, snack bites, food in the leg (we started when dances were not prepared ... and it was rough as appetizers), still to this day to moved and caused dozens of surprises. The Bourboulia are dances where men are disguised, while women remain anonymous beneath a black domino mask and a black.

Για άλλη μια χρονιά τα μαύρα ντόμινο με την αναλλοίωτη στο χρόνο φρεσκάδα τους, καλούν τους ανυποψίαστους καβαλιέρους σε συναρπαστικές συναντήσεις γεμάτες μυστήριο, κέφι, περιπέτεια και καρναβαλική διάθεση. Αυτή τη χρονιά οι παραδοσιακοί χοροί των Μπουρμπουλιών, που πραγματοποιούνται στο πλαίσιο εκδηλώσεων του Πατρινού Καρναβαλιού 2010 που διοργανώνει η Αντιδημαρχία Πολιτισμού και η ΔΕΠΑΠ, αλλάζουν χώρο και για πρώτη φορά θα διεξαχθούν στο Παλαιό Αρσάκειο.
Οι χοροί των Μπουρμπουλιών θα αρχίζουν στις 21.00 και θα τελειώνουν στη μία ώρα μετά τα μεσάνυχτα.

Τα Μπουρμπούλια θεωρούνται μια από τις παλαιότερες εκδηλώσεις του Πατρινού Καρναβαλιού και άρχισαν σύμφωνα με μελετητές της ιστορίας του Πατρινού Καρναβαλιού λίγο μετά την ολοκλήρωση κατασκευής του Δημοτικού Θεάτρου «Απόλλων» από τον Ερνέστο Τσίλλερ, δηλαδή γύρω στο 1872.
Η ιδιομορφία αυτή του χορού, που το όνομά του δεν σημαίνει τίποτα περισσότερο από κρέας που βράζει, τσίμπημα μεζέ, φαγητό στο πόδι ( μιας και όταν ξεκίνησαν ήταν χοροί που δεν προετοιμάζονταν... και ήταν πρόχειροι σαν μεζέδες), εξακολουθεί μέχρι και σήμερα να συγκινεί και να προκαλεί με δεκάδες εκπλήξεις. Τα Μπουρμπούλια είναι χοροί, όπου οι άνδρες δεν έχουν μεταμφιεστεί, ενώ οι γυναίκες διατηρούν την ανωνυμία τους κάτω από ένα μαύρο ντόμινο και μια μαύρη μάσκα.

Panic prevails recently in the city of Patras, upon hearing the news that the world-renowned hard rock band The Scorpions, will open this year's events in the International Festival of Patras 2010.

The Scorpions concert scheduled for June 9 in Patras Stadium.

The German band that started the long march in the global music scene in Hanover, chosen after 45 years, to complete the course with this farewell concerts in many parts of the world. In Greece, one of the stations will be Patras.

Το γερμανικό μουσικό συγκρότημα, που ξεκίνησε την μεγάλη του πορεία στη παγκόσμια μουσική σκηνή στο Ανόβερο, επέλεξε μετά από 45 χρόνια παρουσίας του, να ολοκληρώσει την πορεία του αυτή με αποχαιρετιστήριες συναυλίες σε πολλά μέρη του κόσμου. Στην Ελλάδα ένας από τους σταθμούς του θα είναι η Πάτρα.

About 10,000 small carnival, will dance to the central streets of the city, on Sunday, Feb. 7 with the central slogan "seeds emit a distress ...."

Colors at the schools of Patras

The Carnival Patras of Children organized by the Culture and the Mayoralty DEPAP, painting of colors schools in an effort to change the image side of city schools. To leave the drab gray color and have cheerful facades, and interiors with artistic inspiration and mood.

So the Carnival of the Child this year has on the environment, implement the "Murals in schools of our city" as part of workshops for children.

The program has signed up 9 high schools and 13 primary schools of Patras. This year activities are in all primary in progress and three high schools, and the time the same program will be activated and the other high schools. At the same time conducted workshops - seminars in which students at the end and they will paint their own creations on the walls of their schools. These drills seminars make two groups: the Carpe Diem High School in the 2nd and the 17th Urban colors School of Eglykados and 13th Street that is Australia.

Χρώμα στα σχολεία

Το Καρναβάλι των Παιδιών που διοργανώνει η Αντιδημαρχία Πολιτισμού και η ΔΕΠΑΠ, χρωματίζει με χαρούμενα χρώματα τα σχολεία της Πάτρας σε μια προσπάθεια να αλλάξει όψη η εικόνα των σχολείων της πόλης. Να βγουν από το γκρίζο μονότονο χρώμα και να αποκτήσουν χαρούμενες προσόψεις, αλλά και εσωτερικούς χώρους, με έμπνευση και καλλιτεχνική διάθεση.

Έτσι το Καρναβάλι των Παιδιών που φέτος έχει θέμα το περιβάλλον, υλοποιεί το πρόγραμμα «Τοιχογραφίες στα σχολεία της πόλης μας» στο πλαίσιο των εργαστηρίων των παιδιών.

Στο πρόγραμμα έχουν δηλώσει συμμετοχή 9 γυμνάσια και 13 δημοτικά σχολεία της Πάτρας. Για φέτος δράσεις γίνονται σε όλα τα δημοτικά που βρίσκονται σε εξέλιξη και σε τρία γυμνάσια, ενώ του χρόνου το ίδιο πρόγραμμα θα ενεργοποιηθεί και στα υπόλοιπα γυμνάσια. Παράλληλα πραγματοποιούνται εργαστήρια – σεμινάρια σε μαθητές που στο τέλος θα ζωγραφίσουν και αυτοί τις δικές τους δημιουργίες στους τοίχους των σχολείων τους. Στα γυμνάσια τα σεμινάρια κάνουν δυο ομάδες: οι Carpe Diem στο 2ο Γυμνάσιο και οι Urban Kolours στο 17ο Γυμνάσιο της Εγλυκάδος και στο 13ο που βρίσκεται στην οδό Αυστραλίας.

Another major event on the motorsport will be held next May in Patras Greece. The super-rally, that the expression of the friends of Harley-Davidson will be hosted in the Greek city in a period of 20 with May 24, 2010.

More than 10,000 motorcyclists from across Europe will have its annual meeting, which this year hosted in Finland. The Super Rally expected to cause the city a turnover of around EUR 10 million and together, of course, this is a meeting that will enhance the international reputation and prestige of the city.

Η ετήσια συνάντηση της Harley Davindson στην Πάτρα

Μια ακόμα σημαντική εκδηλώση που αφορά τον μηχανοκίνητο αθλητισμό αναμένεται να πραγματοποιηθεί τον προσεχή Μάϊο στην Πάτρα. Ο λόγος για το σούπερ-ράλι, δηλαδή την εκδήλωση των φίλων της Χάρλεϊ-Ντάβιντσον που θα φιλοξενηθεί στην πόλης μας στο χρονικό διάστημα 20 με 24 Μαΐου του 2010.

Πάνω από 10.000 μοτοσικλετιστές από όλη την Ευρώπη θα έχουν την ετήσια συνάντησή τους, η οποία φέτος φιλοξενήθηκε στην Φινλανδία. Το Σούπερ Ράλι αναμένεται να προκαλέσει στην πόλη έναν τζίρο της τάξεως των 10 εκατομμυρίων ευρώ και μαζί, βεβαίως, πρόκειται για μια συνάντηση που θα ενισχύσει τη διεθνή φήμη και το κύρος της πόλης.

«Path of Sacrifice» in Kalavrita

With great organizational and racing success held in Kalavrita the 2nd race of the institution Rounds of cities which it calls as “Way of Sacrifice" in Kalavrita. The winners at men were Kostas Toussas and at women to Denise Dimaki.

Another sporting event which attended by 200 athletes from Greece and took place in Kalavryta, successfully, while renewing our appointment for the new year.

«Δρόμος Θυσίας» στα Καλάβρυτα

Με μεγάλη οργανωτική και αγωνιστική επιτυχία διεξήχθη στα Καλάβρυτα ο 2ος αγώνας του θεσμού Γύροι Πόλεων ο «Δρόμο Θυσίας Καλαβρύτων» με νικητές στους άνδρες τον Κώστα Τουσσέ και στις γυναίκες την Ντενίζ Δημάκη.

Μία ακόμα αθλητική εκδήλωση στην οποία συμμετείχαν 200 αθλητές και αθλήτριες, από όλη την Ελλάδα και έλαβε χώρα στα Καλάβρυτα, με απόλυτη επιτυχία, ανανεώνοντας παράλληλα το ραντεβού της, για τη νέα χρονιά.
